MOTA GRID – Terms and Conditions

Welcome to MOTA GRID, Zimbabwe’s leading online marketplace for buying and selling vehicles. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules, responsibilities, and expectations for using our platform. By accessing or using our website, mobile app, or related services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing MOTA GRID, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any additional policies displayed on the platform.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services.

 

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into legally binding agreements to use MOTA GRID. By registering or using the platform, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

 

3. User Account Registration

To list vehicles or access certain features, you are required to register an account.

You agree to:

·         Provide true, accurate, and current information.

·         Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.

·         Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.

MOTA GRID reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

 

4. Platform Usage Rules

You agree not to:

·         Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

·         Violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.

·         Upload viruses or malicious code.

·         Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the platform's functionality.

·         Use MOTA GRID for any unauthorised commercial activities outside the permitted car trading purpose.

 

5. Vehicle Listings

As a seller or dealer, you are responsible for:

·         Ensuring all vehicle details (make, model, year, mileage, condition, etc.) are accurate and truthful.

·         Clearly stating the condition and ownership status of the vehicle.

·         Updating or removing listings when the vehicle is sold or unavailable.

We reserve the right to remove listings that are deemed inappropriate, misleading, or in violation of our policies.

 

6. Subscription Plans and Payments

MOTA GRID offers various subscription packages (monthly, yearly, lifetime) for vendors and dealerships.

By subscribing, you agree to:

·         Pay all applicable fees based on your chosen plan.

·         Ensure timely renewal to avoid service interruption.

·         Understand that subscription fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified.

All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) or Zimbabwean Dollars (ZWL), depending on your payment method.

 

7. Payments and Transactions

Buyers and sellers are responsible for finalising transactions independently. While MOTA GRID may offer online and offline payment options, we do not guarantee or mediate the outcome of sales.

We encourage users to conduct due diligence and exercise caution when transacting.

 

8. Content Ownership

All content uploaded by users (e.g., photos, descriptions) remains the property of the user. However, by uploading content, you grant MOTA GRID a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and promote such content on the platform.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

MOTA GRID is a marketplace platform and does not own or inspect vehicles listed. We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings or the quality of the vehicles sold.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MOTA GRID is not liable for:

·         Losses arising from fraudulent transactions or misrepresented vehicles.

·         Disruption, delay, or interruption of platform services.

·         Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

 

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if you:

·         Breach these Terms and Conditions,

·         Engage in fraudulent or harmful behaviour,

·         Misuse the platform or its services.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team.

 

11. Privacy and Data Protection

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and store your information.

 

12. Changes to Terms

MOTA GRID reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website. Continued use of the platform after changes implies your acceptance of the updated terms.

 

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes arising from the use of MOTA GRID shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Zimbabwean courts.
